About Us
Learn About All Aspects of the Club!
This club is a product of the expanding Anime industry and the passion for anime that previous officers and presidents of our club had. While our community might not be the largest in the school, we hope we can meet you in person or online to discuss all topics anime-related. Our current main platform is Discord, with our server invite being found here.
Our currently planned activities include watching seasonal anime, along with extra movie nights, attending anime conventions, and more events in the San Jose area! We currently meet up every Friday at 6-8pm in BBC 320! (aka the Business Boccardo Building ).

Meet Sachiko
Our Club Mascot!
Sachiko is our fellow club mascot. Sporting bright blue hair and gold eyes (conveniently the same official colors as the university), she is usually depicted as a college-age girl or android. She acts a bit like a typical tsundere character, but she is also very outgoing and enthusiastic about the club and her interests. According to past lore, she has a pet cat named Kit Kat (of which no photos have been d̶r̶a̶w̶n̶ captured yet). Sachiko is an elusive one, however, as more lore about her has yet to be found. Her influence will slowly expand to other parts of the club.
Sachiko also has bandmates! Each with different personalities, they're names from left to right are Mei-Lin, Sakura, Shion, and Himawari! Over time, we'll develop more stories will be developed for these characters too!

The Central Hub for Memes and Messages
Our Discord server is our central online hub for managing the club. Here we post the latest info about upcoming club meetings and news within the club. We have polls for picking what we'll watch for the upcoming semester or meetings, and places to leave suggestions about things you would like to see happening in the club.

There's much more to the server than at first glance though. The server is abundant with a massive amount of text and voice channels for a range of different topics and interactions. These channels are filled with member's thoughts feelings and jokes about the latest anime/manga they have partaken in, as well as channels for discussions about merchandise and school-related topics.

Our server is filled with a variety of emojis, stickers, and sounds so everyone, and extra features so everyone has a variety of ways to interact with the community. We also sometimes host online meetings and online activites to provide a fun experience even for those who can't attend our in person meetings. Members can also customize their usernames, add roles for topics of interest, and even earn other special roles! Not to mention new channels such as our Japan Chat for conversing in Japanese, our Star Hall for highlighting the best messages on the server, and our Useful Links channel for extra helpful resources like our Photo Album! We even have an official Minecraft server!

The Points System
Adding Some Friendly Club Competition
We use a points system to encourage participation in both the club attendance and to bring a fun and competitive aspect to our meeting activities. Members earn points by attending meetings, participating in activities, and working together with others to get the best results (and sometimes even through bonus points too!). All of our attendance and point system is automated through an innovative state-of-the-art Google Form & Sheet connection that lets us keep track of how all our members are doing. Prizes are then given out at the end of the semester for those who score the highest amount of points. We also sometimes hand out smaller prizes at other meetings as well, including raffles!
